Joe and his family own and operate an Avocado and Macadamia orchid just west of Bundaberg. Joe obtained a Diploma of Applied Science at Patton Agricultural College he is a family man, busy in partnership with his parents, wife and children and is a steady believer of taking a holistic approach to farm management by finding your place in an efficient and profitable supply chain. A 3 rd Generation farmer hopes to be qualified to bring his life experiences to BFVG and the Horticultural Industry, whereas an Industry we may learn to work collaboratively for a normal purpose. Peter has been a valued director with BFVG for 2yrs providing Industry experience and contributing to the voice of Horticulture within the Region. David grew up in the Bundaberg region, and in 1990 moved to cudgel where he grew avocados and Sweet Potatoes. One of David's main focuses is on achieving a more efficient delivery of bear from farm gate to the consumer to contribute to this process David has been involved in considerable sweet potato trials of different varieties as healthy as being involved in researching plant and soil health. David believes that by aligning with key Industry organizations, is a step in the direction of the Region being recognized as the producing salad bowl it has become over the years. His family has been farming for 30 years and are currently growing Mangoes and a variety of insignificant crops. Leanne is a local Accountant, Prosperity and Business adviser with a mighty background in family and insignificant business. Her passion is to aid entrepreneurs of Little and Moderate businesses grow and thrive. Stacey has recently been welcomed as an self-reliant board director at BFVG and brings a broad experience based ability set to our organization. Bret is responsible for disseminating project related data and interpretation of information suitable to the project through oneonone horticulture grower engagement activities, delivery of clear, short information to horticulture growers and industry stakeholders on Greenhouse gas reduction and carbon sequestration opportunities. In her other duties as the Agriculture Workforce Officer within the Queensland Agriculture Workforce Network project, Kyle liaises with key stakeholders for the coordination of field trips, educational forums and collation of industrial information relating to skills, training and employment. Bundaberg is a 'growing' region as is our Membership base, with a combination of Production Horticulture growers and Industry promote businesses we are always looking to thrive partnerships with key Corporate Sponsors whose values and efforts align with the values of BFVG members, our organization and the Expansive Bay Burnett Region. Corporate sponsorship is a unique and mutually beneficial arrangement which will urge both our sponsors in promoting their name and services to our grower and affiliate members, while helping us to undertake our Advocacy and research activities for the benefit of the complete region. BFVG is a non trading, notforprofit, grower based cooperative funded by grower and affiliate members and corporate sponsors. BFVG is governed by a Board of Directors who are growers or producers of horticultural bear within the Wide Bay Burnett region. To produce different representation our Board also includes Self-reliant Directors who produce specialty regional and Industry advice to the Board. Applications for Affiliate Membership are invited from organizations related to horticulture such as suppliers, processors, packagers, wholesalers and companies who labor with local and regional growers. Although BFVG and the Region's Horticulture Industry meet many challenges still, I look upon these as opportunities for us to embrace.

Peanut trial This is an efficacy trial to evaluate an experimental chemical combination against PINEAPPLE MEALYBUG (efficacy against JassidsLeafhoppers assessed too) in peanuts. The beginning application would be once pest pressure has been established. There will only be one application to receive store once economic thresholds of main pest is reached. Status of crop behind trial to be determined.
